As part of the Singapore Kindness Movement’s (SKM) initiative to promote good neighbourliness, SKM reached out to residents in Siglap and Joo Chiat by organising the inaugural Let’s Makan and Mingle event. Held on 25th April at Siglap South CC, Residents were engaged through a mobile kitchen concept, where they enjoyed live cooking demonstrations and were shown the ease of organising a mini food party from the comfort of their own home. This platform was created to encourage neighbours to interact with one another and to foster long and lasting friendships between themselves.
Special guest Moses Lim came on site to share the importance of neighbourliness and kindness. Iron Man Chef Heman, Group Executive Chef of JP Pepperdine Group also demonstrated a few popular dishes that one can easily make at home to share with their families, friends and neighbours.
